My first impressions of the Galaxy Tab3 are favourable :- it is light weight (508 g versus 478 g for the Ipad Air) and comfortable to hold, especially as the screen can make 4 successive rotations of 90° (this is useful when one holds the tablet in the left hand and want to have the buttons on the right or at the top for not to press it unintentionally) - good viewing angle, nice touch, overall impression of quality - the screen has a resolution quite suitable, enough to view photos, read newspapers, or watch a movie - by purchasing an adapter micro USB to USB normal (4, 49 € on Amazon), you can plug in a USB key. I have tried plugging in an external hard disk self-powered, but it's not working : the battery of the tablet must not be designed for. However, there is no problem to read files from the USB key. The AVI format for movies is read, and the fluency of video is very good. - the speakers on the side : not annoying at all, unlike what I've read elsewhere. The quality of the sound is correct, better with headphones. But to listen to Deezer on mute while doing something else, it's top! - the operation of the tablet is smooth (however, I don't use it in a fashion gamer), the screen is responsive and the Wifi receiver works very well : I let the tablet on continuously and the Wifi connection never requires restart - I have managed to connect to my cloud Orange from the app Orange dedicated, however the app "Orange and me" doesn't work... Skype works, in audio as in video, but has somewhat bugué on an audio call. I believe that it comes from Skype, not from the tab. The camera quality for calls is quite good. - I had not thought of it before, but the tablet also acts as a wifi radio : with apps dedicated to (my favorite, free : Top Radio France and Liveradio Orange), you can gain access to hundreds of radio stations all over the planet. However, if your wi-fi throughput is a fair bit (me I only have 2 Mb) and that you are more to you the share, you'll have cuts. In conclusion : a very good tablet and an excellent price/quality ratio. However, after 3 weeks of use, I am a little disappointed not by the tablet itself, but by the apps. I have a Samsung galaxy phone, and some apps usable on it are not on a tablet. Some apps buguent on a tablet (not auto-update for example) and have an interface less rich than on the phone. For the price you can not expect to the top of the range and yet all the features are present. I have had the. dust under the screen and the customer service to immediately process the exchange. J so I able to in spite of this make the tests conclusive of this tablet. wi fi rapid and active. Useful functions and reactive. I have the old Kindle and I bought the new version for my husband. The difference is huge, but not better. It is true that to perform a research it was more complicated than that, but the old reader was designed really for reading, not for watching pub. the screens of old for the Kindle previous generation were really nice and pleasant to watch. Now have a special offers and screensavers sponsored. Not only the offers are displayed on the standby screen of the Kindle, but also at the bottom of the home screen. Strengths :- very good quality/price ratio - compact size is ideal for internet consultation (text, video, games) - ideal for reading book, digital (a little more tiring than Kindle for the eyes, however) weaknesses :- sometimes lack of speed on the internet (the wifi antenna of medium quality I think, but not dramatic, streaming audio from, for example, without issue) - screen is very bright : I would have preferred a matte. This resolution is sufficient on a tablet 10 inches, allowing for a comfortable reading and a more detailed display. The contrast of 989:1 is good and the brightness is high (395cd/m2 at maximum), which even allows you to use the tablet outside in the middle of the day. The color rendering is in the middle also, and the IPS technology allows you to get a good rendering for wide viewing angles. The screen is treated Gorilla Glass 3 which ensures a good robustness and excellent resistance to scratches. It also benefits from a treatment against fingerprints and even if the result is not obvious, this allows to improve a little the visibility in the light of the day. ###### PERFORMANCE : 8/10 ######On paper, it has a chip MediaTek MT8127 with a quad-core CPU at 1. 5 GHz and a GPU Mali-450 MP4, supported by 2gb of RAM. The tablet from Acer gets a good overall score of 23305 in the benchmark AnTuTu, which puts it well ahead of the Galaxy Tab 4 (17104), the Asus Memo Pad FHD (17640) and the Lenovo Yoga HD+ (18926), but down compared to tablets with the Intel Atom Z3745 or Tab Pro and Tab S of Samsung that are getting between 30000 and 35000. It is sufficient to use web/multimedia standard, the tablet is responsive and no slowdown is to be deplored, even when another task such as updating an application takes place at the same time. It should be noted just a slight lack of fluidity to the animations the more heavy, is not uncomfortable to use.
